Manu Chandaria Robbed at his house – Details
DCI have confirmed that the home of Manu Chandaria was robbed. The robbery happened on Sunday night. The family was robbed off ksh 600,000 and jewelry of unknown value. Their residence is situated in Muthaiga estate in Nairobi.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the robbers entered the residence and disarmed an Administration Police Officer of his G3 rifle. The other guards in the residence were found tied in a room. The robbers escaped towards Karura forest.

The billionaire-industrialist said that he heard a loud bang, after which he called his security guards but could not reach them. When he woke up, he found two men in his bedroom.
The robbers were armed with a pistol and a cutter. They immediately demanded cash and jewelry. Manu Chandaria directed them to the safe. When they got what he want, they fired to the air, scaring the family. The gunshot was also heard by neighbors. DCI detectives found the G3 rifle and two spent cartridges from a pistol.
It is highly suspected that this could have been a case of collusion. The Muthaiga area is home to prominent individuals like former President Mwai Kibaki.
